A desktop assistant for Windows

Your work, with a little more flow.

BharatOS is an India-built project exploring a more personal desktop experience. It brings an assistant workspace for chats, notes, tasks and reminders together with optional connections to selected services in your own Google account.

Currently in testing · Public availability not confirmed

This website is a draft. It does not announce a public download or production release.

A focused workspace

Useful connections, kept separate.

Signing in to BharatOS is not the same as connecting Gmail, Calendar or Drive. Each Google service connection is optional and uses a separate consent flow.

Chats and everyday work

Keep chats, notes, tasks, goals, study material and reminders in the BharatOS workspace. Optional cloud sync is a separate choice for each account.

Google actions you review

Available connector flows include reviewing Gmail inbox items, creating an unsent draft, reading primary-calendar events and finding Drive files. Sending Gmail and creating a Calendar event require a separate approval for that action.

Your files stay yours

The current Drive feature lists or discovers files; it does not edit Google Docs or Sheets. The requested Drive permission is broader than that feature and may permit viewing or downloading files across Drive. See the Privacy Policy before connecting.

Testing and integrations notice. The project records BharatOS 2.0.20 as an unsigned local test candidate, not a public release; version 2.0.15 is the latest published release recorded in the project notes. Google OAuth is still in Testing. WhatsApp Business and Instagram Professional cloud messaging are not deployed or approved, and are not currently available as live BharatOS services.
Built around explicit choices

Connect only what you choose.

If you opt into app-data sync, BharatOS stores an account-scoped snapshot in Supabase (up to 5 MB). Pausing sync does not erase the cloud copy; deleting that snapshot is a separate action. Google API tokens are stored in the user's encrypted local vault, not intentionally sent to the BharatOS messaging backend.

Some permissions allow broader access than the current interface uses. Review each consent screen and the Privacy Policy before authorizing a service.
